Redefining the Workscape: Bringing Value and Values to Machine-Human Collaboration
The topic of the 2019 Roundtable on Institutional Innovation is “Redefining the Workscape: Bringing Value and Values to Machine-Human Collaboration.” Much has been written on the impact of machines in the workplace and their impact on the broader society. But there is little agreement on just how machines fit into the workscape, particularly how the relationships of employees and new technologies can enhance the firm’s overall performance. This Roundtable will take a unique approach in examining how an organization can retain its highest values while bringing new value to the firm via the inter-relationship between employees and machines. Roundtable participants will consider the workscape of the future, employee cost, value and meaning, and the new role of machines.
