Featuring Lee T. Bycel, author of Refugees in America: Stories of Courage, Resilience, and Hope in Their Own Words. Bycel’s book follows the lives of eleven men and women; each from a different country with a different story of resilience, suffering, and determination. Bycel gives a voice to refugees from Poland, South Sudan, El Salvador, Vietnam, and other regions, finding commonalities that emerge from the refugee experience, and shining a light on the real people at the center of political debates about US immigration.
