Fellows are invited to join Walter Isaacson and Lynne Cheney in a conversation about Cheney’s new book, James Madison: A Life Reconsidered. The biography offers a refreshing, new perspective that pushes past James Madison’s typical historical identity, examining Madison as man, politician, and most importantly, intellectual pioneer. Cheney weaves together national and personal history, creating a compelling and largely untold story of America’s fourth president. Described by the New York Times Review of Books as one of the “best single-volume biographies of Madison we now have,” Cheney’s work is sure to provoke a memorable conversation.

This event is open to Society of Fellows members only. Registration opens Monday, June 23.
