SOF Digital Discussion: “The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing, and the Future of the Human Race”

Join us for an SOF Digital Discussion featuring Walter Isaacson, professor of history at Tulane and former CEO of the Aspen Institute, on his latest literary work which recounts Dr. Jennifer Doudna’s journey to a scientific discovery that would change the human race forever, allowing diseases to be cured, viruses to be fended off, and babies to be healthier. In addition to sharing thoughts about the research and writing process, Isaacson will share insights he learned about the impact of CRISPR technology and the moral questions that have arisen as a result of the monumental development.

*If you are not currently a member of the Society of Fellows, and are interested in joining, please contact the SOF team at sof@aspeninstitute.org or (970) 544-7980. You may also learn more on our website.
