Twenty-Fifth Annual Awards Dinner
On November 6th, 2008, friends and supporters of the Aspen Institute gathered at the Plaza Hotel, Fifth Avenue and Central Park South in New York to celebrate the recipients of the Aspen Institute Leadership Awards.
This year the Institute honored Peter G. Peterson, Senior Chairman and Co-Founder of The Blackstone Group with the corporate achievement award. Barbara Walters was our master of ceremonies and moderated a conversation between Mr. Peterson and Aspen Institute trustee former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Aspen Institute outgoing chairman of the Board William E. Mayer received the Henry Crown Award and Anne Welsh McNulty presented the inaugural John P. McNulty Award to Crown Fellow Jordan Kassalow.
