Marsalis to receive Aspen Institute’s inaugural
Preston Robert Tisch Award in Civic Leadership on November 29

WHO: Renowned Jazz musician & educator Wynton Marsalis in conversation with Aspen Institute President Walter Isaacson
WHAT:

Program honoring Marsalis for his work to help New Orleans recover from the effects of the recent oil spill and the devastation of Hurricane Katrina as well as his work as an advocate for the arts

Marsalis will receive the first Preston Robert Tisch Award in Civic Leadership, an award from the Aspen Institute, funded by the family of the late Preston Robert Tisch to carry on his legacy of leadership, public service and philanthropy.

Tisch created Loews Corporation with brother Laurence and was also co-owner of the New York Football Giants
