Alece is a self-defined equity warrior and has a passion for the underdog. Alece worked in planning and economic development with small towns writing code and developing policies for over 12 years. Having been a missing voice in decision-making herself, she was instrumental in developing the Orton Family Foundation’s signature Community Heart & Soul process which helps small and rural towns thrive socially, culturally, and economically. With Heart & Soul, towns across the US have strengthened community relationships and leveraged their efforts for millions of dollars of investments.
