Ben Berliner joined the Aspen Institute in 2018 as communications coordinator and works to support a range of communications efforts including the Alma and Joseph Gildenhorn Book Series and the Washington Ideas Roundtable Series. Prior to the Institute, Ben reported on the intersection of tech and the federal government for the publication Federal Computer Week, where he held an editorial fellowship. He has written about government transparency for OpenSecrets.org, a website published by the Center for Responsive Politics and for the Sunlight Foundation. Raised in Washington, D.C., Ben has worked as an intern both on Capitol Hill and in D.C.’s City Hall. He graduated from Kenyon with a B.A. in political science.
