Carner Derron leads marketing and communications for Aspen Digital, which works at the intersection of technology and information with diverse communities. As both a strategist and executer, Carner drives reputational and programmatic impact across partners, policymakers, and corporate and civil society leaders. Working closely with the Executive and Managing Directors, as well as other program leads, she sets and delivers against both organizational and initiative-specific communications goals, along with annual objectives and KPIs. As Assistant Director, Carner leads strategic planning and day-to-day execution across branding, promotion, owned channels, and content development.
Bringing expertise in brand development, thought leadership, and media relations, Carner joined the Aspen Institute in 2020 and has a background in social impact marketing and communications. Most recently, she supported major nonprofits and corporations at the global firm Weber Shandwick. Prior to that, she worked at the DC-based agency Little Unicorns.
Carner earned a BA in History from Vassar College, with minors in Art History and Chinese Language. She is passionate about serving the common good and brings an energetic spirit and deep curiosity to her work.
