Dante Apaestegui is an inaugural AYLF Newark cohort fellow. He graduated from Rutgers University – Newark, in 2019 and is currently working as a paralegal with the Legal Action Center in New York City. Dante serves people with conviction histories, substance use disorders, and people living with HIV/AIDS. He is deeply passionate about reform and community empowerment, recently illustrated by publishing of know your voting rights content for justice-involved people during this election season.
