Jordan Falby has been the Manager of Talent & Workforce Initiatives within the Economic Prosperity department at United Way for Southeastern Michigan (United Way) since May 2018, prior to which she provided consulting services to the Economic Prosperity team since January 2016. The United Way engages in community outreach, research, systems change through collective impact, and strategic investments into the community to support stable households and thriving children. Jordan’s primary role as a project manager focuses on both managing a portfolio of over 20 different workforce development projects and on engaging with community partners through conducting outreach, learning communities, & research projects. These projects range from contextualized literacy programs to vocational training in growth sectors such as healthcare, skilled trades, and green energy. Previous to her time at United Way, Jordan was a research associate at the Corporation for a Skilled Workforce (CSW) where she worked on projects such as the Detroit Jobs Alliance and the pivotal report series for JP Morgan Chase’s New Skills at Work initiative, “Detroit’s Untapped Talent”. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oakland University, and her master’s degree in human-computer interaction from the School of Information at the University of Michigan.
Jordan Falby is a member of the Detroit Workforce Leadership Academy Class of 2020, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.
