Makaidah Moton is enrolled at the University of Mississippi and majoring in special education. After she receives her bachelor’s degree, Makaidah plans to get a master’s at Ole Miss as well. She’s been active in many organizations since the beginning of her freshman year, such as ESTEEM, which is a women’s empowerment group on campus for African American girls. Makaidah plans to teach at the elementary level and open her own daycare one day. Makaidah Moton is an Aspen Young Leaders Fellow in the 2020-2021 Delta cohort.
