Maria Oah serves as Community Assistant for Weave: the Social Fabric Project. Before joining Weave, Maria was part of a young adult service program, where she interned at both Interfaith Action of Greater Saint Paul, as well as a local church. There she witnessed the role that community trust plays in promoting economic mobility and how people of faith weave community within and across faith traditions. While growing up as a first generation Polish-American, she grew a deep desire to experience and cultivate communities where all who might feel like an outsider can feel seen, welcomed, and loved. Maria graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a B.S. in Neuroscience and likes to spend her time writing letters, baking, and going on adventures with friends.
