Ben Armstrong is the Louisiana regional manager for NextOp, the only veteran employment nonprofit operating in Louisiana. He is an educated Marine Corps veteran with 18 years of experience in organizational leadership who served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Before joining NextOp Ben served as the finance and administration chief for the City of New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and as the inaugural director of veteran services for the University of Texas at Austin from 2011 to 2014. Ben is an active member of the New Orleans VFW Post 8973 and is currently serving as the post commander.

Ben Armstrong is a member of the New Orleans Workforce Leadership Academy, Class of 2019, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.
