Kavita Shah is a rising Sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis and she plans to declare Global Studies as her major. Kavita is a New Jersey native and a varsity athlete on Wash U’s cross country and track teams. She has interned on several political campaigns, including Rep. Stephanie Schmid, Rep. Josh Welle, and NJ State Senator Vin Gopal where she honed her talents in writing, research, and social media. The co-founder of Colts Neck High School’s Alliance to Defend the Environment and Water from Hazardous Substances, Kavita is now a leader of Wash U’s Sur Taal Laya A Capella group!
