An honors graduate of Ruleville Central High School, Maria is currently a freshman at Coahoma Community College, majoring in Pre-Occupational Therapy. At Coahoma, Maria has been an active member of the Student Government Association, Social Science Club, Coahoma Community College Choir, Math and Science Club, and Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. Away from campus, she splits time between Mae Bertha Carter’s nonprofit We Together Create a Change, Women in Mississippi, and the Ladies of Elegance; holds the title of first alternate to Miss Coahoma Community College; and is a candidate for pageants across the state of Mississippi. Upon graduation from Coahoma Community College, she plans to attend Delta State University to study kinesiology beforing enrolling in the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Maria’s ultimate goal is to be a world renowned occupational therapist.
