Dr. Maya Fernandez is an Instructional Specialist in Health Information Technology and Allied Health Program Director at Cedar Valley College. She has over nine years of health care management experience. She is passionate about student success and to eliminate barriers which impede students to pursue higher education. Dr. Fernandez recently earned her Doctor of Education degree from Concordia University Texas. Dr. Fernandez is a member of Pi Lambda Theta, a national honor society for educators. She is also a recent fellow of Global Citizenship Alliance.

Maya Fernandez is a member of the Dallas Economic Opportunity Leadership Academy, Class of 2019-2020, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.
