Sherley Jean-Pierre

Sherley Jean-Pierre has been the Executive Assistant to Judy Samuelson, Founder and Executive Director of the Business & Society Program, since March 2024. She plays a pivotal role in managing the ED’s schedule and efficiently handling the myriad of project details that come the ED’s way.

Before joining the Aspen Institute, Sherley worked for over a decade in New York City public higher education.

Sherley holds a B.A. in English from Brooklyn College, a B.A. in African Diaspora Studies from Baruch College, and an M.A. in The Study of the Americas from The City College of New York. Beginning in fall 2024, she will be working on an MPA with a concentration in non-profit management at the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College. In her free time, Sherley enjoys traveling, watching professional tennis, and basketball, and South Korean television dramas, popularly known as K-Dramas.
