Committed to advancing initiatives that promote values-based leadership, informed decision-making, and cross-cultural understanding, Sophia is dedicated to creating spaces where diverse perspectives shape better policy outcomes.
Prior to her current role, she worked with the U.S. Department of State under the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, researching foreign policy issues related to Western Europe. She also has experience in refugee resettlement, having worked with Catholic Charities Refugee and Migration Services to support displaced individuals as they rebuilt their lives in her local community. Her work is driven by a deep interest in the intersection of international security, human security, and peace, with a focus on how these forces shape global stability and sustainable prosperity. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Politics, with a minor in International Security, from George Mason University, where she graduated summa cum laude in December 2021.
