Sophie van Gilder joined the Aspen Institute in May 2022 and serves as the Program Associate for City Innovation. She brings experience in stewarding networks, event execution, and database management. Prior to joining City Innovation, Sophie worked as the Membership and Events Coordinator with the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs where she contributed to planning global events, optimizing database efficiency, and fostering strategic initiatives for enhanced network impact. Sophie gained diverse experience by interning with the Pan American Health Organization, Strategies for International Development, and the Institute for International Economic Policy. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs with a concentration in international development and Geography from the George Washington University, she is dedicated to driving meaningful impact and fostering collaborative environments.
