Program Manager, Sourcing & Fellow Selection, Henry Crown Fellowship

Stacy serves as Program Manager, Sourcing & Fellow Selection with the Henry Crown Fellowship at the Aspen Institute. In her role, she works with candidates, nominators, and nomination supporters from the earliest stages of sourcing nominees to onboarding the newest Henry Crown Fellowship classes. Her primary focuses include: conducting intensive research and reporting to source and vet unique candidates with a goal of improved quality and diversity of the Fellowship’s candidate pool; implementing strategic redirection of engaged candidates within the Aspen community internally to help broaden and maximize the Institute’s impact; supporting nominators throughout the process, including the development and launch of engaging and meaningful nominator education tools, best practices and assistance initiatives; coordinating or supporting many of the program’s event efforts in various locations throughout the year; and using an overall innovative and strategic approach to the continued growth and scale of the Fellowship. Stacy joined the program in 2017 as Program Associate.

Prior to this, Stacy worked in higher education, recruiting for Simmons College Master of Social Work program as an Admissions Counselor with 2U. There, she sourced and supported high-caliber prospective students and provided comprehensive assistance with the graduate application process. Previously, she spent six years in retail banking in various roles with special emphasis on relationship management for business clients, and operational and regulatory compliance. Stacy formerly worked as a specialty printing technician for both creative and corrective applications, with expertise in various photographic processes, screen printing, and print and negative restoration. She began her career as a professional equestrian, training and showing horses and training riders at the AA level in Roanoke and throughout Loudoun County, VA for over a decade.

Stacy graduated magna cum laude from Hollins University with a BA in liberal arts with concentrations in studio art and philosophy. She held a seat on the nationally-renowned Hollins’ equestrian team all four years in attendance while completing her degree, including both representing the University in intercollegiate competition and by special request at private AA shows. She is an AIRS-certified Diversity Recruiter. Stacy grew up in Lincoln, VA., has two wonderful cats, and loves backgammon, reading her favorite philosophers, restoring furniture, and collecting and making art.
