Stephenie Maurer is Vice President and founder of the newly created Black Prosperity Network at the Aspen Institute, a first-of-its-kind initiative focused on engaging the most prominent Black philanthropists and business leaders in discussions around breakthrough opportunities in education, health, and prosperity of the Black community.
Stephenie has over 25 years of experience in advancement, strategic partnerships and initiatives, fundraising and development, and public relations at nonprofit organizations focused on social impact, policy, education, and health. She has a successful track record designing and implementing major strategic growth programs, building effective development teams, and bringing together leaders from the public and private sectors in support of game-changing ideas and initiatives.
Prior to joining the Aspen Institute in 2017 as Vice President of Advancement, she served as Assistant Vice President and Assistant Dean of Development for the Milken Institute School of Public Health as well as the Assistant Vice President of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the George Washington University. Stephenie also led development for Safe Kids Worldwide, a global nonprofit launched by the Children’s National Medical Center. She began her career in Washington, DC with a boutique public relations firm working with clients on reputational strategy.
Stephenie is an active volunteer, community leader, and mentor. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville.
