Sue Sadler is the Senior Vice President of Services and Program Development at ACCES Employment. ACCES is a leading community-based employment agency that has helped thousands of individuals in the Greater Toronto Area find employment over the past 30 years. Throughout Sue’s 33-year career, she has assumed an innovative approach to designing and implementing programs and supports that align the skill-set of newcomers with the needs of employers. In doing so, she has specialized in successfully integrating internationally trained professionals into the Canadian labour market. She has worked closely with industry experts, sector councils, and colleges and universities to establish sector-specific employment programs. She has designed and implemented post-hire support/onboarding strategies that safeguard employment retention and promote career mobility. She has also designed and implemented customized employment programming for Syrian refugees, disadvantaged youth, bilingual job seekers, and internationally trained healthcare professionals in need of alternative employment. Sue is a member the Peel/Halton Local Employment Planning Council and ACCES Employment’s ‘People Committee’. She co-chairs the Peel Newcomer Strategy Group’s Central Planning Table and Economic Inclusion Committee. She is also the past co-chair of TRIEC’s (Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council) Mentoring Partnership Senior Manager’s Committee. She frequently speaks at national conferences on the efficacy of sector-specific programming and recruiting and onboarding new Canadian talent. Sue became an Aspen Institute Fellow in 2017 and has since leveraged this experience to develop and implement new program models for the hospitality, manufacturing, motive power, and healthcare sectors.

Sue Sadler is a member of the Toronto Sector Skills Academy, Class of 2016-17, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.
