Aspen is a place for leaders to lift their sights above the possessions which possess them. To confront their own nature as human beings, to regain control over their own humanity by becoming more self-aware, more self-correcting, and hence more self-fulfilling.
The Aspen Strategy Group released their latest book America’s National Security Architecture: Rebuilding the Foundation, which offers practical solutions to repair the key functions of Washington’s executive departments, agencies, and advisory bodies responsible for shaping US foreign policy and national security. Copies of the book are available here. The launch of the book featured two panel discussions that commented on issues from the book and offered advice for the incoming Trump administration:
Panel I: Organizing for Success: The Agencies in the Foreign Policy Toolbox
