In Conversation: Justice Sonia Sotomayor and Abigail Golden-Vazquez

The Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program hosted a conversation on the critical importance of civic engagement in America with the Honorable Sonia Sotomayor, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, and Abigail Golden-Vazquez, executive director of the Latinos and Society Program.

A vibrant democracy requires the civic participation of all of its citizens. Yet, there is much to be done to ensure that more people are informed, equipped, and able to become fully engaged. This conversation explores the crucial role that civic engagement plays in our society and ways to inspire civic action by all Americans.
