Socrates Goes Digital : On Decisions and Data: A Conversation with Daniel Kahneman

May 29, 2020  • Socrates Program

Data is often thought of as a panacea that will provide easy answers for tough questions. Currently, we are faced with a crisis that puts us as individuals, communities, and nations in the position of making difficult decisions in the absence of good information. Would good data help us come up with good solutions? Are some decisions not helped by more or better data?

Andreas Weigend, former Chief Scientist at Amazon, and Daniel Kahneman, Professor of Psychology and Public Affairs at Princeton University, was in conversation with Vivian Schiller, Executive Director of Aspen Digital.
