October 16, 2012  • Henry Crown Fellows Newsletter

The Inaugural Class celebrated 15 years together at their annual reunion – this time for three days in New York City in September.  Kim Pendergast organized it and Jay Marshall moderated; Danny Villanueva, Laurence Belfer, Beth Brooke, Tim Krauskopf, John Hillen, John Rogers, and Debi Coleman all attended.  Jay writes:  “Highlights included a tour of the 9/11 memorial [led by 2012 Fellow Joe Daniels who heads the memorial], a vigorous debate on Catholic social doctrine, and one of the Fellows enjoying his first ever alcoholic shot.  Always exploring . . . “  Kim added: “Hillen provided his own readings, adding his own flavor to the intellectual debate.”

Steve Kirsch writes:  “My oldest daughter Katie just started at Stanford! One launched . . . 2 to go!! My company OneID will be launching mid-October to help rid the world of usernames and passwords while making identity more convenient, secure, and private at the same time.”

In August, Gary Lauder rescued a company named OnLive and is now working full time on its turn-around.  OnLive provides the world’s highest performance games-on-demand service, instantly delivering the latest high-end titles over the Internet to PCs, Macs®, TVs—and even tablets or smartphones.
