All Along You Were Blooming, Morgan Harper Nichols
These days I’ve found myself waiting. Waiting for life to return to a semblance of normalcy, when summer means days at the pool and international trips and time spent with friends and family. I’ve felt restless and impatient waiting for those days, and haven’t found the joy in ordinary places. That is, until this morning, when the rising sun hit beautifully on my chair, warming my face as I sipped my coffee and listened to my favorite podcast. Sometimes, the greatest joys aren’t the picturesque moments of adventure and new experiences outside our four walls. Sometimes, gratitude catches us off guard and overwhelms us with joy for those unextraordinary moments of peace.
When you feel restless and numb to the mention of grace, how do you mindfully find joy? What do you notice that brings you to gratitude?
