COPS Announces New Tribal Methamphetamine Fellow Program

The Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) is seeking up to eight American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian individuals to participate in the new Tribal Methamphetamine Fellows Program. This program offers the opportunity to build knowledge, skills and leadership on methamphetamine prevention, treatment and/or enforcement. The Tribal Meth Fellow Program is offered by Strategic Applications International (SAI), the COPS Office’s Training and Technical Assistance provider for Tribal Methamphetamine Program grantees.


Participants will be selected from tribal communities that have experienced issues related to methamphetamine, such as law enforcement, prevention, treatment, child protection, environmental clean-up, precursor chemicals, gangs and organized crime, drug courts and restorative justice, and tribal behavioral and mental health.
