Isabel joined Anthony Tamez-Pochel, Theresa Sheldon, Paulette Jordan, and moderator Chance Rush for a panel called Decolonizing Democracy.

Isabel shared the challenges of working in policy and helping Indigenous people learn their rights when it comes to voting. Getting out the Indigenous vote can be challenging due to lack of accessible transportation. Policymaking around voting issues needs to be more fair to Native interests. Decolonizing democracy means adequate representation and putting Native issues first. Hear more in the conversation below.
