Meditation
As we move through life, gaining in wisdom and experience, we are haunted by the ghosts of our former selves both for better and for worse. We are connected with the spirits of the different eras of our existence by bridges of light, drawing occasionally on our youth and innocence, but drawing too on past pain and grief. “All houses wherein men have lived and died are haunted houses.” With the body as your home, which versions of yourself are no longer with us today? Which eras of your life haunt you? Is it important that they remain, or important that they wander into the dark abyss? Where does your bridge of light come from, and how often do you draw on the spirits of your past to inform your present?
