Tired, Cleo Wade

Meditation

As we look at the world around us, it can feel tiring and overwhelming to come face to face with the should’s of life. The Exhaustion Epidemic points to a society and a generation that holds onto the internal anxieties of our constant connection to and overflow of information. The pressure of productively, in addition to weighing the realities of the world against our own ideals and expectations can indeed be exhausting. As you enter the weekend after a long week, it’s okay to feel tired.

Disconnect your mind and your soul from devices and information overload this weekend. Instead, open yourself up to connection with yourself, your community, and those you love. What heavenly spots do you retreat to when you face tiredness? Who can you share that refuge with? What should’s can you turn into could’s? What small part of this world can you start cleaning up? If you’re tired of being tired, what can you do to pull up your sleeves and give yourself peace?
