America the Inclusive: Building Robust Community and Interfaith Partnerships

America the Inclusive explored the challenges of guaranteeing the vitality of religious pluralism and inclusivity in 21st-century America through a multifaceted approach. Panelists and audience members discussed political and constitutional treatments of minority religions, current flashpoints, the role of the media, integration as a national security asset, and how the practices of successful youth organizations can help build community among young members of religious minorities. The event was co-sponsored by Interfaith Youth Core. Find out more about the convening and read a summary of panelist remarks.

Americans are justifiably proud of our nation’s Constitutional guarantees of religious freedom and its remarkable religious diversity. Yet in recent years, and especially since the attacks of September 11, 2001, there have been a number of troubling incidents of religious intolerance and conflict.
