Dr. Bocar Daff presents on ‘Advocacy Inside Ministries’ in Dakar

As co-chair of the International Conference on Family Planning, Dr. Bocar Daff, director of Senegal’s Reproductive Health Division (DSR), was placed in the international spotlight. At one of the many sessions Dr. Daff participated in he gave a presentation on Advocacy Inside Ministries: How Ministerial Leaders Can Advance Reproductive Health and Family Planning Policy.
For the past year, MLI has been working with Dr. Daff and his team in order to elevate the dialogue around reproductive health and family planning within the government and engage partners to strategically address policy issues. Dr. Daff is working to strengthen the Division’s high level advocacy skills in order to create and disseminate relevant, up-to-date, and targeted messages and information to the appropriate audiences. Dr. Daff shared this experience at the conference, telling the audience that it is important for ministry leaders to use advocacy to get the attention of government officials.
