Roundtable on Artificial Intelligence
Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) are leading to significant changes in the way the world works, shops, and engages. Self-driving cars, smart drones and interactive personal agents are but the beginning of a new way humans will relate to intelligent technology. While these advances are exhilarating to many, they also pose significant societal and ethical issues. The inaugural Aspen Institute Roundtable on Artificial Intelligence will explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and societal, ethical and regulatory issues with the aim of suggesting how AI can serve personal and local community values worldwide.
The Roundtable is a private seminar of 25-30 business executives, government leaders, and visionaries where participants examine the implications of emerging information technologies on societies, governments, communities, and individuals, and the new leadership roles that are required.
