Aspen is a place for leaders to lift their sights above the possessions which possess them. To confront their own nature as human beings, to regain control over their own humanity by becoming more self-aware, more self-correcting, and hence more self-fulfilling.
This Society of Fellows symposium will address tensions of the Korean peninsula, including regional neighbors, economic disparity, governance and democracy, US foreign policy implications, and prospects for the near future. The program, spanning an opening reception and three morning sessions, will feature preparatory readings, lecture, and moderated discussion. Moderated by Ambassador Joseph DeTrani, president of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance; and by Alexandre Mansourov, Visiting Scholar at the U.S.-Korea Institute at SAIS of the Johns Hopkins University. This event is exclusively offered to Society of Fellows supporters.
