The Cover Story
Like many of the foundations working with the Institute, the Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts supports a variety of artistic work. For example, this magazine’s cover image (right) features a performance piece, Hold Your Tension, by Emily Mast that the Mike Kelley Foundation supported through its Artists Project Grant program. “It’s a striking image that conveys something about intimacy, communication, and connection,” says Christine Vincent, project director for the Artist-Endowed Foundations Initiative. Perhaps that’s why it seems so resonant in these days of separation.
