Partners for a New Beginning Welcomes AllWorld Network as Newest Member
Welcome events to be held in Boston and Washington
Boston, MA, July 9, 2012 –– The Aspen Institute is pleased to welcome AllWorld Network as the newest member of Partners for a New Beginning (PNB). The two initiatives will be hosting events in Boston and Washington, DC aimed at expanding entrepreneurship and interregional business exchanges. AllWorld, a network that provides fast growing SMEs visibility at a global scale, will be joining a collection of leading companies and organizations from around the world working to build new business-to-business partnerships between the United States and PNB’s ten countries of operation.
On Monday, July 9, in partnership with the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America (OPEN)-New England, AllWorld and PNB will host their first ever event in Boston on, “How to Put Entrepreneurship on the Global Map”. This event will provide an opportunity for AllWorld delegates operating in PNB countries to learn more about the kinds of projects underway with our local partners and discuss the sustainability of locally-led partnerships, the power of the private sector, and areas of synergy between PNB and the AllWorld Network members.
The two initiatives will then host a day-long business gathering on Thursday, July 12 at the Aspen Institute in Washington, DC, which will serve as a platform to introduce Turkish Fast Growth companies to their US counterparts from similar industry sectors. The companies will share best practices, enhance networks, and ultimately discuss potential business partnerships.
AllWorld Network Inc.: After more than 15 years of promoting entrepreneurship in the developed and developing worlds, AllWorld Network was established in 2008 by Deirdre Coyle Jr., Anne Habiby and Michael Porter, Harvard Business School Professor and global competitiveness expert. Along with Inc. magazine, the founders created the U.S. Inner City 100 in 1998 and Inner City Ventures (a $400 million PE firm). Habiby, Coyle and Porter adapted their model to emerging markets creating AllWorld. AllWorld systematically identifies and ranks fast-growing private companies to create the Arabia 500, Africa 500, Asia 500, Eurasia 500, and Latin America 500. In emerging economies, public companies are known, but promising private companies are not. An AllWorld ranking puts these companies on the world map – attracting new investors, customers, growth partners and talent. For more information, visit www.allworldlive.com.
Partners for a New Beginning (PNB) is a network working in ten countries where local projects and priorities are identified by local chapters. PNB strategically matches them with US and international partners. The initiative is supported by a global coalition of prominent business and civil society leaders who are committed to building effective partnerships that promote economic opportunity, foster advances in science and technology, enhance educational opportunities, and catalyze exchanges.
