May 11, 2016  • UpSkill America

UpSkill America is an employer-led movement to expand opportunity for America’s workers and allow our economy and communities to thrive. As part of our mission to advance the upskilling movement, we are pleased to share the following news from one of our partners.

Through its various education, training and development programs, Walmart helped Jalal, a new American Citizen, earn promotions as well as his MBA in Global Business Management through its partnership with American Public University. He also had the opportunity to intern in Walmart’s innovation department, and graduate from the Replenishment Leadership Program. Walmart is frequently recognized for its upskilling efforts. Last year the company made a substantial investment in promoting the upskilling movement via UpSkill America and is a featured player in our UpSkilling Playbook for Employers. Learn more about Walmart’s upskilling efforts in our sections on High School Completion/Equivalency, Employee Training, and College Degrees.
