Mariana Somma (Portland, Oregon) is a human-centered designer and entrepreneur. She is passionate about helping students and entrepreneurs apply Design Thinking methodologies to solve problems, generate ideas, and build a foundation that will help teams flourish into impactful, sustainable startup ventures. She currently co-facilitates Design Thinking and Innovation graduate courses for the Haas School of Business, as well as coaches workshops for international corporations and higher education institutions. Clients include: Turner Broadcasting Latin America, Berlin School of Creative Leadership, and Eisenhower School of National Security and Resource Strategy. Mariana was co-founder of Calientamigos- a for-profit social venture dedicated to providing portable hot water to millions without access to hot running water. This project was co-designed with families living in the outskirts of Bogotá, Colombia. (Participated in the Global Alliances Program Partnership Opportunity Delegation to Cuba in May 2016.)
