Aspen City Action Lab

The Aspen City Action Lab works with a select number of cities with significant Latino populations to generate long-term, inclusive economic growth through business ownership. The Lab provides city-specific data, increases collaboration, connects local leaders with federal policymakers and investors to leverage public funding and private philanthropy. Local Aspen City Steering Committees, made up of local cross-sector leaders, craft an overarching vision for inclusive growth and develop an inclusive and accountable plan of action.

San Antonio City Initiative

The San Antonio Action Lab Steering Committee launched ESTAR West, an initiative aimed at supporting Westside entrepreneurs and small businesses by providing them with resources, support, and a collaborative ecosystem. ESTAR West will focus on creating a backbone organization (community hub), a corridor redevelopment strategy with an anti-displacement component, and a neighborhood preservation fund for the West Side.

Expected Milestones:
  • Create and deploy a communications strategy to draw attention to this effort (Done)
  • Cost out projects with program partners (In process)
  • Develop an operational model for the partnership (In progress)
