Today Senator Byron Dorgan, the founder and chairman of the Center for Native American Youth, will moderate a panel-discussion to commemorate November’s National Native American Heritage Month and announce the launch of a new initiative, called Champions for Change, to shine a spotlight on inspirational stories and promote hope in Indian Country. The local DC Native community, supporters of Indian Country, and new stakeholders will join the event entitled, “Celebrating Native Voices: Native Youth – Our Future, Our Inspiration.” The event continues the dialogue on Native youth policy priorities, and explores the inspirational contributions Native youth are making in their communities. Learn more about how to apply for Champions for Change here and tune in to watch live at 12pm ET here.
