AEFI Donor Consortium
AEFI is proud that donors large and small have invested to make its work possible. Our donors’ grants have financed development of important online knowledge resources that we are able to offer free of charge to anyone needing to learn about artist-endowed foundations. Lessening the steep learning curve will enable artists’ resources to be committed as fully as possible to charitable purposes.
Since its inception in 2007, AEFI’s research and dissemination activities have been supported by a donor consortium comprising leading artist-endowed foundations as well as prominent arts-funding foundations. The diversity of this support demonstrates that many different types of donors endorse AEFI’s mission to strengthen the artist-endowed foundation field as an important new resource in cultural philanthropy and artistic heritage stewardship. At the same time, the support of the leading institutions in the artist-endowed foundation field demonstrates AEFI’s role as a credible and trusted resource.
AEFI’s Donor Consortium has enabled AEFI to conduct and publish the findings of ground-breaking research, as well as disseminate research findings through a variety of events targeted to key audiences, such as artists creating foundations and their advisors. In addition, donor support has enabled the evolution of AEFI from a one-time research and publication effort to what is now an ongoing initiative, offering annual professional development and leadership programs to the field, and regularly updating its research and publication offerings.
