Mapping Financial Opportunity: A Discussion with Justin King and Terri Friedline

February 23, 2018  • Financial Security Program

The Mapping Financial Opportunity (MFO) project examines trends in the locations of financial services in communities across the United States. These locations include mainstream financial services (i.e., bank and credit union branches) as well as alternative financial services (i.e., storefront payday lenders, check cashers, and pawn shops). The Aspen Financial Security Program sat down with Justin King of New America and Terri Friedline of the University of Kansas to learn more about the project and explore some trends.
