Reconnecting Work and Wealth: Highlights from the 2016 Economic Security Summit

For the first time in 2016, the Institute’s Economic Opportunities Program and Financial Security Program joined forces to present the 2016 Economic Security Summit, which brought together experts in workforce development, labor-market dynamics, income security, consumer finance, savings, and asset development to stimulate new policy ideas aimed at helping middle-class Americans. In the above video, participants share their views on the connection between work and wealth. Those participants include: Sarah Keh of Prudential, Jacob Hacker of Yale University, former Labor Secretary Thomas Perez, Jared Bernstein of Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Ramesh Ponnuru of the National Review, author J.D.
