Do you enjoy exploring the current attitudes, opportunities, and challenges for and about people of color in the US? Do you discuss these views and interact with your peers on your personal social media channels? Are you available to attend a groundbreaking Symposium on The State of Race in America at the dynamic Newseum in Washington, DC on the morning of Tuesday, April 8?

Apply below to attend the inaugural Aspen Institute Social Meetup and become an Aspen Institute Social Media Ambassador. You’ll get free entrance and select seating at the Communication and Society Program’s Aspen Institute Symposium on The State of Race in America, featuring DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, Al Jazeera America’s Ray Suarez, author Tanner Colby, and other notable panelists. During the morning’s public programming about topics including housing, violence, and news and entertainment, you’ll be invited to tweet your opinions using the hashtag #stateofrace. Following the event, engage with other Meetup participants and hear from special guests.
