Aspen Summer Words’ Reading List

June 16, 2014  • Institute Contributor

The Aspen Summer Words Festival, hosted by The Aspen Writers’ Foundation, launched on June 13. The five-day retreat featured an exciting lineup of speakers and writing workshops. Participants joined a “Reader’s Retreat” led by Jamie Byng of the Canongate Books publishing house.

The Festival’s roster included a stunning array of literary visionaries, including former US Poet Laureate Billy Collins, novelist Andre Dubus III, and short story writer Julia Glass. Add these books by the featured authors to your summer reading list.

Connect with the Institute on Goodreads to join an ongoing book talk and receive reading recommendations year-round.
