The Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) and the Grassroots Business Fund (GBF), together with partners (Keystone Accountability, Dalberg Global Development Advisors, and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide), held the Metrics from the Ground Up Workshop. This workshop explored the different approaches to monitoring and evaluating the impact of social enterprises, discussing several key topics including: an overview of the tools in the metrics and evaluation (M&E) landscape, client feedback mechanisms, and best practices in communications and marketing. This was a participant?driven workshop focused on practical, results?oriented approaches. It complimented the work already being developed in the field, highlighting the Impact Reporting and Investment Standards (IRIS) Initiative (a Rockefeller Foundation, Acumen Fund, and B-Lab effort) and the UNDP Global Inclusive Markets initiative.
