The goal of the convening was the raise awareness of the high rates of grief and bereavement among American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth and to expand resources to address these needs. The convening participants included bereavement and grief experts, representatives from national organizations doing work in this space, key stakeholders in Indian Country, tribal leaders, as well as Native youth.
