Second Meeting of the African Introspective Dialogue

Note: This is a past event, additional resources may be available below.

Date

Nov 3 – 4, 2014
7:00pm EST

Location

Kigali

The goal of this Track II dialogue series is to collaboratively move African and Chinese leaders in government, civil society, and private industry away from a theoretical understanding of conservation principles toward active promotion of established operational measurements, to ensure environmentally sustainable foreign investment and ecosystem conservation in Africa, starting with the need to quickly halt wildlife crime beyond what legal sanctions and institutional arrangements will do more slowly over time. Through this initiative, AWF and the Aspen Institute aim to develop a roadmap for investment, conservation and governance principles in Africa, to address the challenges of sustainably meeting development and capacity needs for Africa while ensuring that critical conservation goals are realized.

Invite Only.
